My name is Philip Jardine; I have been involved in St Joseph’s school for the last fifteen years, (our three children have been educated). I am fully supportive of the Catholic Ethos of the school and that every child deserves to be given the opportunity to learn to the best of their ability. I was appointed to the role of Parent Governor in September 2006 and served two four year periods until 2014. At the end of this time I became a co-opted Governor and continue to serve in this role. I am currently one of two vice chairs and sit on three committee’s: Leadership and Management; Finance and Buildings; Teaching, Learning, Assessment and Outcomes (chair). I am an Independent Governor at Lakes College West Cumbria. I have a strong belief that education starts at home and fully support the school and college in encouraging parents and guardians to educate their own children.
