Thursday 8th December: Immaculate Conception

The theme of this school week is: Mary

The Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Reflection

Yesterday was the feast of the Immaculate Conception. Belief in the Immaculate Conception has existed since the beginning of the Church. It is often misunderstood, because it is not referring to Jesus’ conception, but Mary’s. It is saying that God preserved Mary from original sin from the very beginning as a privilege of God.

Prayer

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Our Lady Queen of Peace pray for us.

St Joseph pray for us

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
