Friday 25th November: End of the Year?

The Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Happy-New-Year

Reflection

You might not realise but it is the end of the year! The Church year that is. This Sunday is the First Sunday of Advent, (the preparation time for Christmas) and also the beginning of a new Church year. Following the Church year in faith, is following Jesus. Not just because the events of the Church year (such as Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter) just help us remember Jesus’ time and life, but also because He comes into our time and lives. If we make room for Him.

Prayer

Jesus, as we finish and begin a Church year, we want to make room for you in our lives. We invite you into our time, so You can transform us into the people You made us to be. We pray in your Holy Name.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of death. Amen.

Our Lady Queen of Peace pray for us.
St Joseph pray for us

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
