The Sign of the Cross

In the name of the father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Reflection

As the weather grows colder and the leaves fall, Advent and Christmas approach, it is natural that our thoughts turn to those whom we have loved who are no longer with us.

It is fitting that the Church sets aside the month of November to remember and pray for those who have gone before us. We pray that they are in heaven with God and that they see Him and the love He has for them, and did have for them while they were here on earth.

Through November, there will be a Book of Remembrance in St Joseph’s Room in which we can write the names of those we know who have died, and also a message or prayer. These names will then be prayed for at each Mass held in St Joseph’s Room during November.

Prayer

Maybe someone has come to mind right now who you would like to prayer for. So lets pray:

Saints of God, come to their aid!
Come to meet them, angels of the Lord!
Receive their soul and present them to God, to God the Most High.
May Christ, who called them, take them to Himself;
May angels lead them to Abraham’s side.
Receive there soul and present them to God, to God the Most High.
Give them eternal rest, O Lord,
And may your light shine upon them forever.
Receive there soul and present them to God, to God the Most High.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil. Amen.

Our Lady Queen of Peace pray for us.

St Joseph pray for us

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
