Friday 16th September: Being a Catholic School

The Sign of  the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Reflection

Being in a Catholic school, means to be a part of a larger story. We all have our small stories: the day to day jobs, the homework, family, friends, school life. And they are important. But unless we realise that we are part of a larger story, a Great Adventure, then we will be missing all that God wants to give us.

Being in a Catholic school is to be a part of a larger story: an adventure that shaped our human history, will define our futures, and will guide us in the present moment.

Here is another snapshot of what it means to be a part of the Great Adventure that is ‘Catholic’:

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I hear your call to a Great Adventure with you. Give me courage and faith to follow you, to take a leap of faith. I know I can trust that it is a leap into your loving arms. Help me to see you in every moment this day and to know your presence in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
